Chiswick House

Chiswick House is a 16th Century Neo-Palladian villa in West London, managed by English Heritage.

Working to Chiswick House and Garden Trust’s ambitious garden project requirements, the works included the restoration and conservation of a 1,300m2 Grade I Listed Conservatory.

The Conservatory, which houses many rare and old species of camellia, was dismantled prior to being sympathetically rebuilt with a new Canadian Douglas fir timber frame and Pilkington K Glass. It was built in the same style as the original 1930s design.

The back sheds were also extended and refurbished to form education and exhibition spaces, a small kitchen and food preparation area, offices with improved facilities for events and public use, as well as staff accommodation areas and toilets.
